Coinciding with the tournament is the annual Great Allentown Fair, held from August 30th until September 5th. This year’s fair boasts a strong, yet diverse concert line-up. Opening the fair on August 30th is multi-platinum rock group, Nickelback. This marks their first ever appearance at the fair, and also begins their promotion of their upcoming album, which is set to release this fall. Other acts include country singer Alan Jackson on August 31st, comedian Larry the Cable Guy on September 1st, teen pop-star Hilary Duff on September 2nd, country mega-star Tim McGraw on September 3rd, and heavy metal group Motley Crue on September 4th. The wide variety of performers is certainly ideal for soccer players attending the tournament, with boys and girls teams ranging over several age groups, as well as players’ families.
