The Eastern Pennsylvania Clinic is one of nineteen held nation-wide and was founded by legendary football coaches Bud Wilkinson and Duffy Daugherty. The Crowne Plaza has recently undergone a multi-million dollar refurbishment and is a perfect venue to host the clinic. Over thirty hours of football instruction will be offered by an outstanding faculty led by NIKE COACHES Gary Barnett, University of Colorado - Jim Tressel, Ohio State University - Mark Richt, University of Georgia - Jack Siedlecki, Yale University and Mike Sewak, Georgia Southern University. Other HEADLINERS include Andy Talley, Villanova University - Al Bagnoli, University of Pennsylvania - Art Kehoe, University of Miami as well as coaches from Navy, Army, Penn State, Maryland, Virginia, William and Mary plus other Division I,II,III coaches and outstanding high school coaches. Harleysville National Bank will sponsor a special youth/middle school clinic on Saturday, February 11. This program will emphasize the teaching of fundamentals and the creation of a positive environment for youngsters in the early stages of their football experience. THE JOHN WHITEHEAD MEMORIAL COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD will be presented to four high school coaches and one college coach. Coach Whitehead was truly an outstanding example of football coaching at its very best on both the high school and college levels. He was the former Head Football Coach and Director of Athletics at Lehigh University. In addition, all Champion High School Coaches in attendance will be honored. The cost of the Clinic is $80.00 per person for advanced registration with a discount for a staff of five or more. The cost for one day attendance is $60.00 including the Youth Clinic on Saturday. The Crowne Plaza is offering a special rate for all rooms. The NIKE eastern Pennsylvania Coach of the Year Clinic is a premiere event and has gained national recognition for content and value. Included in the registration fee are two free meals, NIKE Coaches Hat, NIKE Portfolio and a glass Commemorative Mug.
